In 2003, I went through my own divorce.  Like so many divorces, my divorce was more contentious, stressful, and expensive than it needed to be.

I hired the best (and most expensive) attorney that I could find and followed his advice.  That was a mistake!  Once my divorce was final, I realized that my divorce could have been much less complicated and far less costly.

At the time of my divorce, I was a process improvement consultant for large Fortune 500 corporations.  Corporations like Target, Best Buy, Wells Fargo, Ameriprise, and others hired me to help them streamline their operations and processes.

I was a process improvement expert and I was appalled by the divorce process.  The divorce process today is virtually no different than it was in 1970.  People hire lawyers, go to court, and let the chips fall where they may.  This process takes months and costs thousands.  Sadly, most people still follow this antiquated process today.

In 2005, I launched a website showing people a better way.  Using a modern approach, I've greatly simplified the divorce process.  My process results in a divorce settlement in less than a week often for less than $1,000.
